Mattika Motorhome Hire is a family motorhome rental business in the beautiful North East of England. We are situated on the border of County Durham and North Yorkshire, just off the A19, so not far from the A1, a prime location to start your trip, with the Lake District and Northumberland being less than a two-hour drive away.

Whether you are an experienced tourer, or it’s your maiden motorhome voyage, our practically equipped, elegant, and stylish motorhome is designed to exceed your expectations. With luxury soft furnishings, wall mounted TV/DVD player, champagne flutes and double mattress toppers, to name but a few attractive features; our motorhomes will set the scene for an invaluable experience.

In addition, our vehicles are fully fitted with the latest safety features and equipment (fire extinguisher, fire blankets, fire and carbon monoxide alarms) giving you both assurance and peace of mind. They have also been fully maintained (habitational check) and gas checked/certified for the new season.

Fantastic first experience of motorhome hire holiday. Highly recommended! As a family of 2 adults, 2 children, a cheeky dachshund and newbies to this type of holiday …we loved it! ‘Madge’ (the motorhome) 🙂 was immaculately clean and tidy. Everything was thought of, from cleaning supplies to comfy throws. The briefing on collection was comprehensive and helped us to make the most of our holiday. The communication and service with Mattika was excellent and no questions were left unanswered. The motorhome was easy to drive and configure between living and sleeping space, as we made our way between three sites in the Lake District over our 4 night hire. As a complete ‘over-packer’ and a newbie to motorhomes we now see that 2 suitcases for this type of holiday was definitely NOT a good idea 🙂 So DO check out Mattika’s helpful hints and tips on their new Facebook page, these weren’t available before our hire, but are super helpful if you’ve never rented a motorhome before.

Very welcoming and accommodating with dates and timings which is always massively helpful as sometimes I feel a lot of companies that we have rang up to book or enquired with haven’t allowed of this and pick up times have been very limited with tea time pick ups which is not really useful as I feel it’s a wasteful day gone off your holiday. Where I feel by going that extra mile to help all parties out pays in dividends in the long run . I’m off to plan our next adventure… We will be returning . Thank you for a wonderful experience.
